5 PARTY MAKE UP ESSENTIALS

Friday party? Heading directly from office? Make up
definitely is an art and requires time, and lots of products too. But there are
times when we are short of time or we have to directly hit the club from office and sometimes you are just not in a mood to paint your face...lol ….in
fact I would say a balance is more important. Few products in your make up, and that
just makes it all to create a “less is more” look.
In this post of mine, I am gonna talk about 5 basic make up
products which will suffice those situations. Off course these are not all but these
would be enough to glam up just-so-dull look in minutes. In my next post I’ll
talk about Saturday party make up essentials when mostly you have ample of
time.
1. FOUNDATION – rush to your office restroom and dab few dots
of foundation on your face and using just the tips of your fingers spread them
evenly on your face in a dab.. dab and circular motion.
The MAC studio fix
foundation, if found correct match to you complexion works wonder. That is very
important and also tricky; make sure you get your foundation correctly matched
to your skin tone
TIP: Instead of applying it on your wrist, always match your
foundation by applying it under your eyes and along your jaw line.
That would be enough in itself without a concealer or
pressed powder.
2. CONTOUR KIT- Highlighting and contouring is a newly found
fad among all the beauty gurus. You would hear about it everywhere. Well deserved
I would say! Proper highlighting and bronzing completely changes, and jazz up
your entire make up. I think I would talk about how to highlight and contour in
detail in one of next blogs.
For now just swipe a bit of highlighter in the
center of forehead, swiping it down to the temple of nose and a bit below lower
lip. For bronzer, start along the hair line, swipe along the cheekbone, and
then along the jaw line.
Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit is one hit for
everything. Everything you require. Make sure you have one in your kit. That is
all you require for proper contouring.
A cheaper dupe of it can be found here.
3. GLITTER/PIGMENT/EYE SHADOW- Aah! Now these will
completely glam up the look. Take som glitter pigment in a bright color and
dab generously on your eyelids.
MAC’s glitter pigment in “reflects turquatic” gets
thumbs up from my side for this.
Want a cheaper dupe for MAC’s turquoise glitter? Get it here
4 MASCARS/FALSE LASH- Now all you need to enhance and open
up your eyes is two coats of mascara or/and a false lash. Both the products
should be chosen according to the type of lashes you have. There are numerous
mascaras and lashes that are available in the market; from volumising (for thin
lashes) to lengthening (for fuller but short lashes) etc.
MAC’s zoom lash is my personal favorite for now, also I would
be soon posting some reviews about some mascaras.
Want a little cheaper than their site. Buy it here. There are
just two left.
I would say a bit of glitter and mascara/false lashes and
you are ready for the party.
5. BRIGHT LIPSTICK- ohh yeah, my favorite part. Complete your
look by applying a bright lipstick like MAC’s “All Fired Up” or Limecrime’s
Pink Velvet or anything that is neon/bright or coral.
All Fired up is from their retro matte collection, and is
not available now.
If you still want it, this is where I found it cheapest for
now. Get it here
Limecrime’s pink velvet is available for a bit cheap here.
This is my personal favorite make up, as anyways I don’t like
applying all the things altogether. This would hardly take 10-15 minutes, pair it up with you little black dress and
bingo! You are all set to rock the party.

Lime Crime Pink Velvet
Ah! Finally!!
Something I was waiting to write about. Lol. This is exciting :D…. because the
excitement among ladies before its launch was quite unbeatable. Yeah forget the
lipstick for a while but its launch, which was announced months back was so
hilarious.
Lime Crime Velvetines is already an
acclaimed line among the female crowd. The best seller of Lime Crime which was earlier
available in the shades “RED VELVET” and “SUEDEBERRY” decided to launch a new
shade called “PINK VELVET” on Black Friday.
The funny part was that their
website jammed for three days. Like seriously??? :o …. I was floored ….. three
days …and even after being told by them to give it sometime…the excitement
among ladies did not cease. Trust me, on their Instagram page I had read
comments like- is the launch as per CST,,,,PST,,,, blah blah ….I would need to
put an alarm…lol really??? ; the best was- I have been trying continuously since 9 hours…..finally
went through…OHH GOD! Madam…. I am glad
it went through….else I don’t know how much more time you would have wasted in
refreshing the page.. hahaha..that was pretty hilarious. I mean it is not like
the world was ending that day….
I got mine after 3 days… when their
poor website gained some conscious…..no insanity for me! :D but….but…it took 17
days to arrive…..ohh yeahh!!! A massive flood took place!!

Isn’t it beautiful??
As the name says the texture of this lipstick….
So velvety, smooth, is just marvelous. The shade “red velvet” is a dark red,
quite similar to that of MAC’s Ruby woo, warm toned and “Suedeberry”- more of a
coral red, cool toned; bit similar to MAC’s Lady danger. After two best variant of Red, they finally
decided to go pink. Yes and as I said in my “Sephora color lip last” review that I am
totally a Pink fanatic and a matte lipstick person. This lipstick has to be
here. :D. The only thing I don’t like about matte lipsticks is their application;
I mean those are dry and difficult to swipe. So Liquid to matte works wonders
for me.
Price: $20
What it claims?
Lip stain that goes on liquid
and dries completely matte. Touch-proof, long-wearing, and utterly addictive!
Supremely
true its words, this lipstick surpassed all my expectations. The color
is a cool toned bright pink; more like neon. I just love the pigment. See the
picture below, you can see that I applied it the same way I showed in my last
post- “Pucker up”. Although I just applied a single swipe, I think double swipe
would look even better. I have so many different variants of pink but this one
wins the hands down!!
A MUST… MUST have! If you were unable to get it that time, now its available plus you can get it cheaper here (including shipping and taxes).
